The L6229 is a fully integrated 3-phase DMOS full bridge rectifier with overcurrent protection. The chip was realized using MultiPower BCD technology and combines isolated DMOS power transistors with CMOS and bipolar circuits. This driver provides all the functions necessary to drive a brushless (BLDC) motor:
• Constant Off-Cycle PWM Controller
• Synchronous rectification with slow decay time
• 60° and 120° Hall effect decoding logic
• Brake function
• Tachometer output for Speedloop
• Cross-line protection
• Thermal overload protection
• Undervoltage protection
• Integrated high-speed freewheeling diodes
