The LinkSwitch-CV dramatically simplifies the design of CV power supply units with tight CV requirements by eliminating the need for an optocoupler and secondary control circuits. The device introduces a revolutionary control technique to enable very tight output voltage regulation that can withstand fluctuations in input voltage and temperature.
The device includes a 725 V power MOSFET, a novel on/off control machine, a switched high-voltage power source for self-biasing, frequency jittering, cycle-by-cycle current limiting and hysteretic thermal shutdown in a monolithic IC.
