Description:
This series of integrated circuit fixed voltage regulators is designed for a variety of applications. These applications include on-card regulation to eliminate noise and distribution problems associated with single point regulation. Each of these controllers can provide up to 1.5 A of output current. The internal current limiting and thermal shutdown features of these controllers make them essentially immune to overload. In addition to being used as fixed voltage regulators, these devices can also be used with external components to provide adjustable output voltages and currents, and they can also be used as a power pass element in precision regulators.
