Universal LCD driver for low multiplex rates
The PCF8562 is a peripheral device that attaches to virtually all liquid crystal displays
Liquid crystal display (LCD)1 with low multiplex rates. It generates the driver signals for each static
or multiplexed LCDs with up to four backplanes and up to 32 segments. The
PCF8562 is compatible with the majority of microcontrollers and communicates via the two-line
bidirectional I²C bus. The communication overhead is controlled by a display RAM with
automatic addressing, hardware subaddressing and display-memory switching
(static and duplex drive modes).
