The MIC29710 and MIC29712 are high-current voltage regulators offering high precision and low dropout. They feature a fast transient response to input voltage spikes and output load current changes. These regulators use a PNP pass-through element manufactured using the proprietary Super ßeta PNP® process.
The MIC29710/2 is available in two versions: the 3-pin fixed-output MIC29710 and the 5-pin MIC29712 with adjustable output voltage. All versions are fully protected against overcurrent faults, transposed cable entry, overtemperature operation, and positive and negative transient voltage peaks.
A TTL-compatible Enable (EN) control pin supports external on/off control. If no on/off control is required, the device can be continuously activated by connecting EN to IN.
The MIC29710/2 is available in standard 3-pin and 5-pin TO-220 enclosures with a junction temperature range of 0°C to +125°C.
