Der MCP1703A ist ein CMOS-Spannungsregler mit niedrigem Dropout und einem maximalen Ausgangsstrom von 250 mA. Der MCP1703A arbeitet mit Eingangsspannungen bis zu 16 V und ist mit seiner geringen Stromaufnahme von 2 µA eine ideale Lösung für Anwendungen mit mehrzelligen 9-V-Alkali- oder ein-, zwei- oder dreizelligen Lithium-Ionen-Batterien. Er ist in platzsparenden SOT23A- und SOT89-Gehäusen oder in einem thermisch belastbaren 3-Pin SOT223- und 8-Pin 2x3 DFN-Gehäuse erhältlich.
