LM1085 3-A Low-dropout positive regulator
Description:
The LM1085 is a controller with a maximum dropout of 1.5 V at 3 A load current. It has the same pin assignment as TI's industry standard LM317. Two resistors are required to adjust the output voltage of the LM1085 adjustable output voltage version. The adjustment resistors are integrated for fixed output voltage versions. The LM1085 circuit contains a Zener-trimmed bandgap reference, current limitation and thermal shutdown. See LM1084 for the 5 A version and LM1086 for the 1.5 A version.
