The MCP1754/MCP1754S is a 16-V PSRR LDO voltage regulator. The MCP1754/MCP1754S regulators provide up to 5150 mA of current. The typical operating range is between 3.6 V and 16 V. 18 V is an absolute maximum.
Ideally it is used in 12-V systems. The latest foldback function is a real short-circuit current foldback function. The component resets in the event of a 10-mA short circuit.
