LED driver, low side, SOT-23-6

The BCR405U is a low-cost LED driver for low-power LEDs.

The advantages over series resistors are:
- Homogeneous light output despite different forward voltages in different LED strings
- Homogeneous light output from LEDs despite voltage drop across long supply lines
- Homogeneous light output independent of variations in supply voltage
- Longer service life of LEDs due to reduced output current at higher temperatures (negative temperature coefficient)

The advantages over separate solutions are:
- Lower installation costs
- Smaller format
- Better quality due to less soldering points
- Higher verified output current due to pre-tested LED drivers

Dimming is achieved using an external digital transistor on the earth pin.
