HV9961, LED driver with constant current control in average current mode
Description
The HV9961 is an LED driver IC with constant current control in average current mode, operating in a constant off-time mode. Unlike the HV9910B, this control IC does not generate a peak-to-average error. This greatly improves the accuracy, line and load control of the LED current without the need for loop compensation or high-side current measurement. The accuracy of the LED output current is ±3%. The IC is equipped with a current limiting comparator for short-circuit protection of the output in Hiccup mode. The HV9961 can be operated with a supply voltage of 8V-450V. It has a PWM DIMM input that accepts an external TTL-compatible control signal. In addition, the output current can be programmed via an internal 275 mV reference or controlled externally via a linear dimming input of 0V-1.5V. The HV9961 is pin-to-pin compatible with the HV9910B.
