Single-chip USB to UART data transfer
The CP2103 is a highly integrated USB-to-UART bridge controller that provides a simple solution for upgrading RS-232/RS-485 designs to USB with a minimum of components and PCB space. The CP2103 contains a USB 2.0 full-speed function controller, a USB transceiver, an oscillator, an EEPROM and an asynchronous serial data bus (UART) with complete modem control signals in a compact 5x5 mm QFN-28 housing (sometimes also known as "MLF" or "MLP"). No further external USB components are required.
