The LM185-1.2-N/LM285-1.2-N/LM385-1.2-N are 2-terminal bandgap voltage regulator diodes for micro operation. They operate over a current range from 10µA to 20mA and are characterized by an exceptionally low dynamic impedance and good temperature stability. A narrow voltage tolerance is achieved by on-chip trimming. As the LM185-1.2-N bandgap reference uses only transistors and resistors, this results in low noise and good long-term stability.

The careful design of the LM185-1.2-N has resulted in the device being exceptionally tolerant to capacitive loading, making it easy to use in almost any reference application. The wide dynamic operating range allows it to be used with widely varying supply voltages with excellent regulation.

The extremely low power consumption of the LM185-1.2-N makes it useful for microcurrent circuits. This voltage reference can be used to make portable meters, regulators or general analog circuits with a battery life approaching shelf life.

In addition, the large operating current allows for the replacement of older references with tighter tolerances.
