The LM136-2.5-N/LM236-2.5-N and LM336-2.5-N integrated circuits are 2.5-V precision shunt regulator diodes. These monolithic IC voltage references operate as a 2.5-V zener with a low temperature coefficient and a dynamic impedance of 0.2 ohm. A third port on the LM136-2.5-N allows easy trimming of the reference voltage and temperature coefficient.
The LM136-2.5-N series is suitable as a precise 2.5-V low voltage reference for digital voltmeters, power supplies or operational amplifier switching. The 2.5 V makes it possible to obtain a stable reference of 5 V logic supplies. As the LM136-2.5-N operates as a shunt regulator, it can be used as both a positive and a negative voltage reference.
The LM136-2.5-N is designed for operation at -55°C to +125°C, while the LM236-2.5-N is designed for a temperature range from -25°C to +85°C.
The LM336-2.5-N is designed to operate in a temperature range from 0°C to +70°C. See the connector diagrams for available enclosures.
