The AN431 series of ICs are three-port adjustable shunt regulators that provide thermal stability over the entire operating range. These ICs feature sharp power-on characteristics, low temperature coefficient and low output impedance, making them an ideal alternative to zener diodes in applications such as switching power supplies, chargers and other adjustable regulators.
The output voltage of these ICs can be set to any value between VREF (2.5 V) and the maximum cathode voltage (36 V).
The precision reference AN431 is offered in two voltage tolerances: 0.5% and 1.0%.
